My son and I traveled up to a small town just north of St Albans VT. It was supposed to be a 3.5 hour drive, but it actually took us about 5 and a half hours. We arrived with plenty of time to setup our gear and take some test shots to make sure we got our exposure settings correct. During the Eclipse we took over 300 images using Automatic Exposure Bracketing (AEB) to capture the most amount of dynamic range we could. The photos don't even begin to communicate the awe of the experience. Below are the best of the captures I got. I hope you enjoy them! Even with our 3.5 hour drive home turning into over 7 hours with the amount of traffic, a total of 12 hours in traffic was well worth the experience, the time spent with my son, and the images I was able to capture.
